PAWS, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of Philadelphia’s homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals. PAWS is working toward making Philadelphia a city in which every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home.
Supporting PAWS helps fund lifesaving initiatives including adoption and foster care programs, spay and neuter surgeries, low-cost vaccinations, and other community-based initatives, all of which help reduce and will ultimately eliminate the unnecessary killing of Philadelphia's animals. Donations to PAWS are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

HELP PIT BULLS, PIT MIXES, AND THE NEEDIEST PETS:
The Sarge Fund serves Philadelphia’s pit bull and disadvantaged pet population by providing subsidized spay/neuter surgeries and veterinary care at PAWS’ Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinic. Since one in four people in Philadelphia lives below the poverty line, PAWS is committed to helping pit bull owners – and all pet owners – obtain affordable and accessible health care for their pets. Doing so allows pets to remain beloved family members, helps reduce the homeless animal population, and limits the number of pets killed in city shelters simply because they do not have homes. The Lucky Fund was established to help ensure that happy endings will be made for homeless animals who arrive at the shelter with treatable medical conditions. Your donations to the Lucky Fund are allocated exclusively to pay for medical treatments such as diagnostic tests, medications and care needed for sick and injured animals.
