On Saturday, October 25, Philadelphia went to the dogs! At the 2nd Annual PAWS Mutt Strut in FDR Park, animal lovers came together to help PAWS save more lives.
Hundreds of people brought their dogs – and met some of the ones waiting for loving homes – to walk the scenic route and take part in all that the day had to offer. Even a rainy day couldn’t put a damper on people’s spirits or on their commitment to helping us save lives.
The proceeds are still coming in, but so far the Mutt Strut has raised nearly $85,000 for PAWS’ lifesaving efforts on behalf of Philadelphia’s homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals. This incredible achievement would not have been possible without our generous sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and community supporters. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who participated – whether you walked, raised funds, volunteered, donated, sponsored, or helped spread the word, the event would not have been the success it was without you.
