Shelter Pets: The Fashionable Choice

August Free People catalog features four-legged models from PAWS

Some unexpected models grace the pages of Free People’s August 2009 catalog. They are dogs and cats rescued by PAWS, invited by Free People to raise awareness of the thousands of homeless pets and to encourage customers to consider adopting. More than two dozen PAWS kittens, cats, and dogs, once in danger of being killed at the city shelter and now living safely in foster care or adoptive homes, can be seen cuddling, romping, and posing with two-legged models in a variety of settings. The shoot took place over three days in April on a sprawling estate in Coatesville, PA.
