UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who joined us at the 4th Annual PAWS Mutt Strut on October 30! The event was a huge success. More than 1,500 animal lovers and nearly 1,000 dogs came together for a beautiful day of fun activities, delicious food, and great music. Together, we raised more than $108,000 for our lifesaving efforts on behalf of Philadelphia’s homeless animals. Several PAWS dogs found their forever homes, too!

On Saturday, October 30, 2010, dogs and the people who love them will walk the 1.5-mile scenic route in FDR Park to raise funds and awareness for PAWS’ efforts to save Philadelphia’s homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals.
Where: FDR Park, 1900 Pattison Ave., Philadelphia, PA. (Across from the sports complex - plenty of free parking!)
Rain or shine. Check-in/Registration begins at 10am, start strutting at 11am!
Registration fee: $25 per person ($10 for children 12 and under).
Don’t have a mutt to strut? No problem! Register and join us for a great event for a great cause, or "rent" a PAWS dog for the day and make a new friend, for the afternoon or for life!
Looking to adopt? Lots of PAWS dogs waiting for loving homes will be there. Come meet your new best friend!
It’s more than just a strut! PAWS partners will be on hand to offer a variety of tasty, fun, and educational opportunities and activities for 2-legged and 4-legged participants alike: ask the vet booth, basic grooming services, microchipping, dog obstacle course and bobbing for bones, costume contest, pet portraits, training tips, and much more! Food will be available for purchase from Cavanaugh’s Rittenhouse and other purveyors, plus live music throughout the day.
Attention kids: KYW Newsradio’s Kidcasts mobile studio will be on hand to give you a chance to be a KYW news anchor! You can record a news story, complete with the signature KYW Newsradio jingle and “ticker" sound effects to create the authentic sound that millions in our region know and love.
All Mutt Strut participants get a PAWS eco-bag and dog bandana at the event. Plus,earn prizes as you raise money for PAWS!
